BACKGROUND

The Darling Range Learning Community is a new name and a new concept of the WA Department of Education, but is not new to the schools involved in the community, who have been communicating and collaborating for many years now.
In recent years there have been a number of projects that the principals have worked together on for the benefit of all the schools involved. Some of these include the Aces Program, My School Rules Competition and Collaborative Drama Productions among others.
The Darling Range Learning Community is a broadening and formalizing of the concept, to increase the benefits to schools, staff and most importantly the students of all the learning community schools.
