PROFESSIONAL LEARNING TEAM
Following the recent Leadership Team Meeting, schools have gone back to select interested staff members to become part of this team. We are looking forward to a meeting of the members in the near future.Writing Moderation Sessions
Tuesday April 24: Teachers from K - 9 met in their various groups at different schools to moderate the writing task "Animals should not be kept in Zoos". Kindy and Pre-Primary Teachers met at Forrestfield Primary, Years 1 to 3 Teachers at Wattle Grove, Years 4 and 5 Teachers at Dawson Park and teachers of Years 6 to 9 worked together at Darling Range Sports College. LOTE, Music and Art teachers also met in their groups at various schools. The session was a wonderful opportunity for teachers to develop consistency in making judgements about student's persuasive writing. It was a very productive afternoon and a great chance to do some professional networking.

John Fleming Seminar in Margaret River
Saturday 31st March The Margaret River John Fleming Seminar, gave teachers attending a great insight into how the schools he has worked with, have made the outstanding improvement in student results and how this can be applied in all schools. A number of teachers attended from Darling Range Sports College and Maida Vale and Wattle Grove Primary Schools and found it a very stimulating event. John will give more detailed explanations into how his model can be implemented in schools at his next seminar in May.
